Headquartered in Penang, Malaysia, with two offices in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Bangkok, Thailand, support our global customers with quality electronic and electrical components.
Imax distributes electronic and electrical products for companies such as Semikron, Schaffner, Kendeil, Protek Devices, Bussmann by Eaton, Harting, Won-Top and Sunon. Apart from Franchised lines, Imax also distributes other broad line cards of electronic components to support our customers sample builds, trial runs, mass production, kitting programmes, International Procurement Office (IPO), etc. Furthermore, our localised warehouse facilities in Penang and Bangkok facilitate fast turnaround logistic support to our customers.
The implementation of advanced and sophisticated ERP system which integrates Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customer Relationship Manager (CRM), Sales Force Automation (SFA) and E-Commerce, supports Imax in meeting our customers’ fast turn-around requirements. With improved efficiency, shortened response and delivery time, Imax is committed in providing reliability and consistency to our customers at all time.

- Established branch office in Kuala Lumpur and doubled the size of office in Penang.
- Appointed as authorised distributor for Schaffner, a global leader in the development and production of Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Power Quality (PQ) solutions, which improve the efficiency and reliability of electronic systems.
- Appointed as authorised distributor for Kendeil, which develops and manufactures professional aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

- Acquired a new building as part of expansion for both headquaters and warehouse in Penang, Malaysia.
- Achieved record revenue of USD10 million.
- Appointed as authorised distributor for Protek Devices, a leading semiconductor manufacturer of a wide range of high-performance TVS protection, analog and mixed-signal products.
- Appointed as authorised distributor for Semikron in Thailand.
- Appointed as authorised distributor for Delixi Electric, a company specialising in Low Voltage Electrical Products.
2009
- Commenced a representative office in Bangkok, Thailand with Sales Manager & Customer Service staff.
- Acquired another new block of building for expansion of headquarters in Penang, Malaysia.
2010
- Implemented ERP system in Bangkok office, Thailand.
- Started implementation of Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001: 2008.
- Appointed as authorised distributor for Harting in Malaysia and Thailand markets, a leading solution provider for connectivity and networks with headquarters in Germany.
